Don’t let Charlottesville be a hot topic for a few days before disappearing from everyone’s minds.
Talk about it. Please talk about it.
Talk about how people were advocating for White Supremacy and Nazism, and how our president refused to condemn them for it. Talk about how peaceful protesters, who were trying to stop this hate fueled march, were injured and killed after a car ran over multiple people. Talk about how Germany, the very place Nazism was founded, has outlawed anything to do with Nazis, but how America, the very country that spent years fighting Nazism, has yet to abolish anything to do with this hateful ideology. Talk about how we’re probably about to go through something big, I don’t know what yet, but something big. Talk about how seventeen year olds, children in the eyes of some, were brave enough to stand up to this hatred. Talk about how people died protecting the rights of others.
Talk about it.
Please.
Don’t let this fade into oblivion.
“If you are not outraged, you are not paying attention” – Heather Heyes, a victim of Charlottesville
Never stop talking about it.
