Do you ever write a character’s internal monologue and think to yourself, my poor child, you have no idea.
Do you ever compare your character’s initial situation to that of their final scene and every time they say “Gee I hope it doesn’t get any worse than this!” and you just grab their face and squish their cheeks, whispering, “You have no idea.”
