Ive seen a lot of posts saying how “we’ve lived without the internet before, we can do it again” and how people will drop their home plan entirely if net neutrality goes, but I don’t know if a lot of adults know that peoples’ futures depend on net neutrality and our education relies on net neutrality and yes, we’ve done education without the internet and we can do it, but it’s a hell of a lot harder to get things done without it, especially today when everything is driven by the internet. so adults, please please please don’t tell us not to worry about net neutrality being repealed because “we’ve lived without the internet before, we can do it again.” and please don’t make the net neutrality fight out to be something about how young people “are so obsessed with the internet” and how you wanna make it so every young person doesnt want to work and how we’re lazy or something. Our jobs, our college apps, our education, our entire future depends on net neutrality. We understand working is hard, education is hard, we just want to make it a little easier by not having to pay extra for basic tools for job/college apps and our education.
