I hate those kind of parents who make constant jabs at their kids about how they should ever survive on their own without their parents but when the kids try to learn something and be independent, the parents prevent them from learning. I’m not talking about being told to clean the room for three days now and nothing has been done, I’m talking about trying to cook something but your parents always look over your shoulder and eventually take the pan and do it themselves because you don’t do it their way.

You can’t complain about your kids not knowing how to run a household if you never let them learn. You can’t just take their tasks away from them just because they don’t do it your way or in your pace.
