Writer moods
- Writing a line that you absolutely love and then trying to figure how, when, and where to work that line into your story.
- Thinking that you wrote a scene or line of dialogue down only to realize that you didn’t, you just planned it all out in your head.
- Trying to explain what you’re writing about to someone else but words fail you.
- Outlining the story/chapter and then doing something completely different so now you have no idea where the story is going.
- The. Characters. Not. Listening. To. You. Or. What. You. Want. Them. To. Do.
- Ideas as soon as you step into the shower but they get washed down the drain before you step out and have the chance to write them.
- Rewriting a tiny, insignificant scene 30 different times because it’s got to be perfect. (It doesn’t).
- Fucking editing.
- Feeling super inspired until you actually open a document to write and then just staring at it blankly for an hour.
- Getting caught up in a research spiral for hours for a tiny scene in your story. (One that you end up cutting out anyway)
YES
Me to my brain when I have ideas then lose them all when I open a word document:
