I am from Kazakhstan.
This loss for my country, our young athletes, our young figure skaters, for me is indescribable and suffocating. I still can’t believe our country treated him that way. We don’t have many athletes representing our country internationally, and his hard work gave us the only medal during 2014 Winter Olympics. He was and still is our true hero and inspiration, and I cannot believe he’s passed this way. I have no words. I am heartbroken and devastated.
Denis, we took it all for granted, it’s the only thing that comes to my mind. This is not how you should’ve gone, we are sorry and we are thankful for everything.
