Hello! I was just wondering, about Koyo’s story, I remember she tried to runaway with a man she loved in the past but he was killed. I was thinking, why was she spared? Just as a fan of mafia-related movies and stuff, usually both runaways would have been killed as they’d be considered traitors. I’m just curious, what do you think?

The previous mafia boss was the one who had the “older man Kouyou admired” killed for running away. My guess would be that Kouyou was still young enough to be trained and her ability was valuable enough that the mafia boss let her live. He probably also thought that by killing the man he would both remove his influence on Kouyou and effectively traumatize Kouyou to the point she would never try and run away again… or else.

But that’s only my guess. Too bad Kouyou isn’t a bigger character so we could get more information on her past (I could say the same for ALL the mafia characters!)

#legit though this gifset perfectly sums up why she’s my fave #she’s such an unusual character #she’s definitely one of the ‘good guys’ #but she’s also unapologetically ambitious #utterly ruthless #uncompromising#never pointlessly cruel but 100% willing to hurt and kill people to achieve her ends #but she’s also incredibly loyal and fair to the men under her command and has their absolute trust and respect #and she would give her life to protect the innocent people of her country without a second thought #she’s a very complicated character who *seems* very simple at first glance #she’s a good person…but she’s not a nice person #at all (via enigmaticagentalice)
