I remember my parents getting separated when I was a kid and at 11 my dad expected me to cook and clean for the family and suddenly be more mature than my brothers lmao
My brother never had to do the dishes or clean or anything like that when I was a kid and he still doesn’t when he visits home and never even makes an attempt to. It’s either relegated to my sister or I when I visit home. She’s disabled and during the years she was very ill instead of helping out it was just all put on me
My brother does the same shit. My mom literally cut up his food until he was sixteen. My parents pay his credit card bills. I had to teach him how to make nachos in the microwave when he was seventeen. I walked to and from school every day while he would get rides. My sister, who is six years younger than him, has walked home many times from a school much farther away. She regularly makes her own dinner. She turns fourteen in a few weeks.
My mom actually had the nerve to say she doesn’t know why he’s so entitled when he’s been given everything he wants since he was a baby and has never been told ‘no’ or been punished for his shitty behavior. God this shit drives me fucking wild.

I was visiting a friend for a couple hours and her dad literally stormed into her room demanding to know why his laundry wasn’t put away and why she hadn’t made him and her Adult Brother any dinner.
Come to find out if her mom is away on business (often) she does all the housework and grocery shopping because her dad won’t and will yell at her if she doesn’t. But hey brother is like 22 and still lives at home and has his college paid for by his parents while she gets nothing. He literally let her puppy way fiberglass right in front of him with she asked him to watch it and her parents did Nothing. And made her pay for all the vet work.
Can’t Stand that shit.

i’m literally seeing this at the school i work in, the mom literally carries the three year old brother into class every day and his 18 month old sister is expected to walk in by herself. when mom picks them up, she always goes to carry the brother and sister just walks ahead. sigh……
